Pact
One target. One text. Every night.
A late-night SMS bot that holds you to a single daily commitment and reviews your week every Monday.
Our mission
Mission
Pact exists because accountability shouldn't require a meeting.
We believe the best founders are the ones who ship daily, reflect weekly, and don't confuse motion with progress. Most productivity tools are built for teams that need visibility. Pact is built for builders who need to keep promises to themselves.
Every night, Pact asks: did you do the thing? Every Monday, Pact shows you the pattern. No dashboards, no integrations, no performative check-ins. Just you, your phone, and the work.
We're starting with solo founders and tiny teams who are in the build phase—post-idea, pre-product-market fit, deep in the slog. The people who work late, work alone, and need a system that respects both.
Pact is a handshake with yourself. We're here to make sure you keep it.
What we're working on
- Build SMS loop prototype with Twilio and daily/weekly schedulingSet up a working SMS flow: inbound target collection, outbound nightly check-in, Monday summary generation. Use Twilio for messaging, a simple DB for user state, and cron for scheduling. Aim for 10 test users by end of week.
- Interview 15 solo founders about daily accountability failuresRecruit from Indie Hackers, Hacker News, and founder Discords. Ask about current systems, late-night work patterns, and what's missing in existing tools. Synthesize into a 2-page insight doc on willingness to pay and feature priorities.
- Draft launch thread explaining the one-target philosophyWrite a 5-tweet thread contrasting task-list overwhelm with the Pact approach: one thing, every day, no excuses. Include a waiting list link. Aim for founder community resonance, not viral reach.
